Bolckmans Group Gives Iconic Turnhout Building a Second Ecological Life
In 2015, our tenant, “Drukkerij Proost,” ceased operations. On their former site, Bolckmans Group initiated a comprehensive renovation project.
The old office spaces were halved and are undergoing a complete makeover. The entire exterior shell of the building is being upgraded with new sandwich panels, and all gates have been replaced. Lastly, the outdoor area will also be completely renovated.
The electrical infrastructure was overhauled earlier, with LED lighting installed throughout. Green energy is the foundation of this site. The current roof surface boasts an impressive 3,826 solar panels, and charging stations for electric vehicles are also available.
The total land area of the project on Everdongenlaan is 49.451 m². The industrial park accommodates various activities, with warehouse heights ranging from 5.75 to 7 meters. The site is conveniently located near the E34 highway and easily accessible from the city center.
