‘Bolckmans Group is Continuously Involved,’ Says BuzziSpace
In 2018, BuzziSpace partnered with Bolckmans Group. This global player was searching for a new site within a 30-minute drive of their production facility in Bladel, Netherlands. The municipality of Turnhout perfectly met this requirement, and attention quickly turned to the former building of the well-known comic publisher Proost. “For us, the key factors were not only the location but also the space and the potential for expansion,” explains Logistics Manager Peter Driessen. “We started with a unit of 5,500 m² and have since expanded to nearly 10,000 m².”

The unit in Turnhout forms part of a larger network of BuzziSpace sites. In Turnhout, production components are stored before being transported to the production facilities in Bladel. Finished products are then returned to Turnhout to be shipped worldwide. To enable this setup, the collaboration between BuzziSpace and Bolckmans Group began with a renovation project. “This process took about four months. The cooperation during the renovations was always very satisfying, and it continues to be so. The flexibility we experienced, especially during the move from the Netherlands to Belgium, was one of the most pleasant aspects.”
Bolckmans Group’s flexibility is a key asset, according to Driessen: “The biggest advantage of Bolckmans Group is their flexibility. When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, we suddenly ran out of space. On the very same day we reached out for help, they provided us with an additional hall.”
“Bolckmans Group is a party that remains continuously and appropriately involved. Whenever we have questions or issues, they respond quickly,” Driessen concludes.
