In early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Belgian branch of Ben Becker moved to a site managed by Bolckmans Group in Boom. The company’s previous location in Belgium had become too small, as General Manager Belgium Wouter Verhoef explains: “We were previously in a 2,000 m² property, but we now rent 5,000 m². In February 2020, we decided to move to a larger space. It was a bold move at the time, but after thorough discussions with Bolckmans Group, we went ahead with the decision.”
The offices in the new building underwent a complete makeover. Bolckmans Group and Ben Becker collaborated closely to create a stunning office space tailored to Ben Becker’s practical needs. “The renovation process went exceptionally well. Bolckmans Group listened to what we wanted, brought their own ideas to the table, and the collaboration resulted in a fantastic and beautiful space,” reflects Verhoef.
The property in Boom is strategically located near the A12, which is vital for a company like Ben Becker. “For our clients, we handle a small amount of storage but primarily cross-docking. Goods arrive overnight and are then distributed into various routes. Starting at four in the morning, our 35 drivers handle the transport to our customers,” Verhoef explains.
Logistics involves many moving parts, and Ben Becker needed a partner to handle practical matters.
