Ambulance Centrum Thrilled with Bolckmans Group
In 1991, Ambulancecentrum Antwerpen started as a local ambulance service in the Rupel region. Thirty years later, it has grown into one of the largest players in Flanders. Last year, the company opened its new headquarters in Boom, housed in a unit provided by Bolckmans Group.
Ambulancecentrum Antwerpen handles both urgent and non-urgent medical transportation. Its fleet of 50 ambulances is equipped to transport patients to and from hospitals, with a portion of the vehicles dedicated to emergency calls from the 112 dispatch center. All vehicles are coordinated from the dispatch room in the new unit, which opened in November 2020. After a long search, the company found the perfect fit with Bolckmans Group. Managing Director Kris Verbeeck reflects: “We’re growing and needed more workspace and parking. We started looking around and eventually came across Bolckmans Group.”
The Boom unit accommodates 45 ambulances. To house such a large fleet indoors, Ambulancecentrum Antwerpen required a spacious unit. The site also consolidates the administrative center, dispatch, and dressing rooms for paramedics. To meet these specific needs, Bolckmans Group provided significant flexibility to Kris Verbeeck and his team. “We were given carte blanche by Bolckmans Group to design the layout. We were able to decide where walls should go. Having a partner who thinks along with us is very important,” says Verbeeck.
The result is a custom-built unit in an ideal location. Situated just a stone’s throw from the A12, the building allows Ambulancecentrum to serve its clients quickly and efficiently. The property also offers ample room for future growth. Ambulancecentrum is a forward-thinking company, and Bolckmans Group is happy to support its tenants in their progress. Kris Verbeeck is pleased with the partnership: “I’m very glad I chose to work with Bolckmans Group. I feel confident that we’ll be here for many more years.”
